![]() The map browser provides a number of options. Selecting "plot by instrument", you can toggle arrays of various CGSM instrmentation on and off. As well, with "plotting options" you can toggle the background color and the inclusion of other networks. The background color is meant to allow you to choose a figure that looks better against a particular background in a Powerpoint or other type of presentation or poster. The inclusion of other networks is meant to provide some context. In general, we do not differentiate between networks within CGSM (ie., we do not differentiate betweeen the CARISMA or CANMOS fluxgates, or the NORSTAR or CANMOS riometers). Selecting "plot by element", you can select from a number of maps that illustrate the current status and planned final configuration of various CGSM instrument networks. These are the CARISMA fluxgates and induction coils, CANMOS fluxgates and riometers, NORSTAR ASIs, riometers, and MSPs, Canadian SuperDARN and PolarDARN, CADI, and the f10.7 solar radio monitor. These maps may be used freely in publications and presentastions; however, we insist that either "Canadian GeoSpace Monitoring" or the "Canadian ground-based community" or specific element such as "CARISMA" or "NORSTAR" be explicitly mentioned. No acknowledgement is necessary. |
